Pilgrimage Exhibition

This is a small 4 colour print that I produced for the Pilgrimage Exhibition at Gloucester Cathedral from Tuesday 1 March – Friday 1 April. The first three layers are a reduction, printed in Schminke water based inks. The fourth black layer is a separate block printed over the top, in an oil based ink, as to get a deep rich colour, and full coverage.

Lino printing workshop- hen do!

At the beginning of March I had the absolute pleasure of teaching a short afternoon course to a group of 'hens' in Brighton. As the group were staying in an Alice in Wonderland themed house for the weekend, many of the designs that they produced were around that theme.

We printed small tote bags using Speedball block printing fabric inks in orange, blue and teal.

Each printer had the opportunity to cut their own block, roll it with ink, and print it on to their bag.

It was lovely to work with this group of enthusiastic adults, and I am so pleased with the results they got from just a short workshop!
